Coach Kym Wolfenden (Powell)
Kym is a natural-born educator. Kym’s natural habitat is teaching at a local high school and coaching here at CrossFit Mt Eliza.
As a Mum to 4 children, Kym knows how important it is to make time for her fitness and role model what good health looks like. She started her fitness career as a Body Pump and Pilates instructor. But after joining CrossFit Mt Eliza in 2019, it became clear she’d found her new passion in CrossFit.
Kym also knows the impact of community. In 2024 Kym shaved off her luscious locks to raise a whopping $9k for the World’s Greatest Shave, supporting Australians with blood cancers. This is just one example of how Kym leads, inspires and motivates. And we’re lucky that she brings that same passion and commitment every time she steps into CrossFit Mt Eliza.

Coach Lucy Piper
Lucy’s career has spanned many creative industries, including film production, advertising and over a decade travelling the world as Global Head of Creative at Intrepid Travel. Becoming a Mum to an energetic young man inspired her to create a better world for him to grow up in, so she joined a startup company called ‘Work for Climate’ driving programs to positively impact climate change in the corporate sector.
Her other passion is health and wellness. Lucy regularly partakes in ultra-trail running, and of course, Crossfit. Starting out as a newby at CrossFit Mt Eliza, Lucy quickly became a valued member of the CrossFit Mt Eliza community and undertook her Level 1 training in 2023.
Lucy’s motto is that “you should never underestimate the impact that you as an individual can have on other people, and the world around you.” And as a coach she’s a living embodiment of the CrossFit ethos, helping people of all ages and fitness achieve life-changing results.
